Public health support for a whole system approach to food and health.

Updated: Mar 14

GP healthcare session

It's great to hear that The Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) has promoted healthy habits and a preventative whole-system approach to achieving healthy weight, reducing health inequalities and lessening the burden on healthcare services. The Making Every Contact Count initiative is a fantastic way to ensure that all frontline staff, GPs and other professionals are trained to engage with individuals on the issues of nutrition, physical activity, and behaviour change in a compassionate and action-focused manner. It's also great to hear that the ADPH promote consistent messaging and guidance across all professions, which should improve the effectiveness of these interventions.

The Association of Directors of Public Health Support a Whole System Approach to Promote Healthy Weight

Best Food Forward for Health and Medical Professionals has been working on this positive stance on promoting healthy habits in our CPD-certified course, so it's great to see this initiative being supported and advanced on a broader scale. Overall, it's encouraging to see such a proactive approach being encouraged towards improving the health and well-being of individuals across the public sector.
